We build new pallets, combination pallets, and recycled/reclaimed pallets. We purchase broken and odd-size pallets, repair them and put back into service, for every type of industry- Farm Produce, Grocery, Manufacturing, Warehousing and Transportation.
Today, new wood pallets are typically constructed of “downfall” lumber – lumber that is not used for furniture, flooring etc. After their initial use, wood pallets can efficiently be repaired with new lumber or boards salvaged from unrepairable pallets. This allows the pallet to be used safely and efficiently over and over again.
Virtually all pallets, regardless of size, can be reclaimed. Pallets that cannot be repaired are “torn-down” and individual components reused for pallet repairs. Waste material is grounded into landscape mulch, animal bedding and other beneficial uses.
A recent study also shows that the recyclability of wood pallets is undisputed. Preliminary results of a research project conducted by Virginia Tech on the disposal of wood pallets at landfill sites reveal that 95% of wooden pallets are being recycled. The landfill avoidance study was independently conducted at Virginia Tech over the course of two years. Both municipal and solid waste (MSW) and construction and demolition (C&D) landfill facilities were surveyed to better understand how pallets were being handled at these facilities. According to the study, the number of pallets entering the landfill reduced by 86%, for both MSW and C&D facilities.
